Located on a site formerly occupied by an industrial building, One Taikoo Place transforms itself to the newest triple Grade-A office tower in East Hong Kong Island. The 48-storey building, including two basement levels, provides total gross floor area of about 102,100 square feet. OPTIMIX’s plastering and tiling systems were applied, that the former one is used for profile leveling onto concrete walls, fair faced concrete and rendered surfaces, and the later one is designed for fixing tiles and filing tile joints. Also, OPTIMIX provides an efficient replacement to the traditional on-site batching mortars by F12 Masonry Mortar, which enhances the quality of work and improves performance consistency. OPTIMIX has been engaging in various construction industry events, to educate and assist industry members with our expertise and ability. This month, OPTIMIX joined 2 industry events - Hong Kong Construction Materials Association (HKCMA) Annual Dinner and HKCA Young Member Society (HKCAYMS) x Lifewire Carnival sponsorship. Held on 13^th December, Mr. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary, was a Guest of Honour of HKCMA Annual Dinner. During that night, representatives from over 20 construction materials companies, logistics companies, and constructions companies were assembled. A week later, HKCAYMS x Lifewire Carnival was organized on 18^th November, with Mr. Liu Chun San, Under Secretary for Development as the guest of honor of the event. OPTIMIX supported the carnival physically by donation of company premiums as gifts of the game booths. By such, OPTIMIX (Hong Kong) wish to accompany HKCAYMS and Lifewire in spreading their mission to general public of construction industry professionalism and raising people’s awareness in rare diseases.

The Chief Executive Officer of OPTIMIX Group Mr. Calvin Chan received the renewed Q-Mark certification and the trophy of Q-Mark Elite Brand Award 2018 at the Q-Mark 40^th Anniversary cum Presentation Ceremony, launched by Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) on 27^th September 2018 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mr. Chan was presented the Q-Mark Elite Brand Award trophy from FHKI Deputy Chairman Prof Eric Yim, and acknowledged by fellow honored guests, including Chief Executive of the HKSAR Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Dr. Bernard Chan, and the chairman of Hong Kong Q-Mark Council Mr Bernie Ting. Being awarded Q-Mark certification and Elite Brand Award for 2 years consecutively is an endorsement of our company progressive journey, giving credits to our quality management system and product consistency from FHKI, and recognizing the support from the general public, which had voted us as their favorite brand in construction material category. OPTIMIX GROUP Chief Executive Officer Mr. Calvin Chan was invited to 2 media events in September. To begin with, Mr. Chan was honored to be interviewed by Zhejiang Television Economic Life Channel on 5^th September 2018 in our Hong Kong headquarters. He introduced the business and development of our company, illustrated the close linkage of our company to mainland corporations, and shared his view on today’s China business environment. Subsequent to the interview, Mr. Chan attended Zhejiang and Hong Kong Young Entrepreneurs Forum 2018 on 20^th September 2018 in Hangzhou, hosted hand in hand by several departments of Zhejiang Province and The Y. Elites Association. Targeted on the subject of inheritance and innovation, over 80 young entrepreneurs gathered from Zhejiang and Hong Kong to Hangzhou, to exchange thoughts of exploiting today’s China opportunities. The organizer also took advantage of such opportunity to promote Zhejiang as the hub of One Belt, One Road, and facilitate it as a Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Hang Lung Plaza 66 is a commercial and office complex, located in Jing’an District, which consists of a 5-storey shopping mall and two 48-and-66-storey skyscrapers. With a total area of 50,000 sq. m. of the mall and a total gross floor area of 80,000 sq. m. of the grade A office buildings, the complex assembles a number of luxury brands’ flagship stores and is entitled the fifth tallest building in Shanghai. To accommodate the renovation needs, OPTIMIX (Shanghai) supplied tiling, waterproofing and emulsion systems to Plaza 66. Taken the high traffic of the mall into consideration, OPTIMIX proposed several fast-set adhesive products for stones to the owner and applicator, allowing the affected area to be open the next day after application.
